Landsat calibration outputs Report this article as Inappropriate to us !!!Login to Reply

I have just bought some Landsat TM and ETM imagery from the USGS website in the geotiff format. I am wanting to produce radiance images and am wondering what is the proper data format. Do I create 32 bit, 16 bit or 8 bit images with the data. I am using ERdas imagine 8.7, have used ENVI which produces 32 bit floating point images, but was advised that should be 16 bit floating images.
