Keep in mind that once again the AMC is at your wallet. I have maps from 1980. I do check if they need an update from time to time. That's what a indelible marker is for. I was once in the AMC and I find them to be an extremely arrogant organization with little mindset for anyone other than themselves. Its not the AMC's trails, although I do credit them with great maintenance, but there are trails all over that are maintained by similar volunteers. There is little to be gained by making me subscribe to a yearly map service for a single hike. Trail data should be in the public domain, its part of the National Forest.
