Speed and Red Light Camera Locations Now Available from NAVTEQ

Chicago red light camera locations are raking in $44.8 million dollars for the city (that was 2008 totals) and they are tripling the number of red light camera intersections in the next two years.
Having a GPS POI database or red light locations are a good warning system. The Chicago Tribune has been running front page articles on the use of red light cameras. They found most violations are not for speeding through red lights. Most violations are for right turn on red where the driver did not stop long enough before making the turn.
