basic mapping software Report this article as Inappropriate to us !!!Login to Reply

I've been asked by my company to find some inexpensive and basic mapping software that our CAD operators can use without GIS expertise. They will need to make small (maybe 6" square) black and white maps for use on cover pages for engineering projects. I've been looking into some products by Delorme, as well as MapPoint, Maptitude, BusinessMap, etc...Can anyone suggest a cost-effective way of importing street maps from an existing database, and making minor edits as needed (such as altering street routes or digitizing future building areas)? Thanks.

Hi

I would suggest AutoCAD MAP.  This is the best option for your environment.  Copntact me at colin@aisel.co.za for more info.
