Agenda and Session Abstracts Announced for Conference Focusing on Advances in GPU Computing
SANTA CLARA, Calif., Aug. 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- NVIDIA Corporation today announced that sessions covering some of the most important trends in computing including computer vision, advanced C for CUDA programming, computational finance, supercomputing clusters and advanced visualization will be among the 130-plus hours of technical content at its GPU Technology Conference.
Registration is open for the conference, which will focus on the latest breakthroughs that developers, engineers and researchers are achieving through the use of the graphics processing unit (GPU). The event will be held at the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose, Calif., from Sept. 30 to Oct. 2, 2009. Hwu, of the National Center for Supercomputing Applications at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign; Dr. Satoshi Matsuoka, of the Global Scientific Information and Computing Center of Tokyo Institute of Technology and the technical leader of the TSUBAME supercomputer; and Dr. Jeff Vetter, of Georgia Institute of Technology and Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
Advanced Visualization - deep dives into advanced visualization across a variety of fields, including sessions on utilizing the GPU in ultra high-end 4K video servers, featuring Dr. Norihisa Suzuki, of Zaxel; real-time effects in film and video, featuring Gary Oberbrunner, VP of Engineering at GenArts; and mapping satellite imagery on the GPU with Teodor C.
