NAVTEQ Signs New Global Contract With ALK Technologies

Continued relationship enables innovation in navigation, mapping and content to GPS-enabled smartphones

CHICAGO, Oct. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- NAVTEQ, the leading global provider of digital map, traffic and location data for in-vehicle, portable, wireless and enterprise solutions has signed a new global contract with ALK Technologies to supply map data and content for the company's CoPilot(R) Live(TM) GPS navigation products. This new agreement reaffirms an already longstanding relationship between the two companies.

ALK's award-winning CoPilot Live, for some time the EMEA market leader in perpetual licence smartphone navigation, is available for both professional and consumer applications. CoPilot Live, recently launched on the iPhone App Store, has quickly become one of the highest grossing apps in many regions*. The new NAVTEQ contract includes a broader expanse of coverage to support further development in global markets.
