SAN RAFAEL, Calif., Sept. 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Autodesk, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADSK), a world leader in 2D and 3D design and engineering technologies, announced that certification for Autodesk 3ds Max Design software is now available in North America. Autodesk 3ds Max Design is a comprehensive 3D modeling, animation, and rendering solution that offers integrated workflows with the AutoCAD and Revit software families of products. Certification is currently available for AutoCAD, AutoCAD Architecture, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Autodesk Inventor and Revit Architecture software in 20 countries.

"Autodesk certifications are a reliable validation of an individual's skills and knowledge that demonstrate expertise in a specific area," said Paul Mailhot, senior director of Autodesk Learning. "More than just enhancing an individual's credibility, certification can lead to accelerated professional development and serve as a differentiator that helps people to stand out from the crowd. These differentiators are important in any job market, but never more so than during a down economy."

Certification can be achieved only after passing a rigorous Autodesk certification exam, or series of exams. For more information about how to become certified in Autodesk software, contact your local certification center or visit www.autodesk.com/be-remarkable.

Attendees of Autodesk University 2009 will be able to take Autodesk Certification exams for free during the event. To hear from past Autodesk University attendees as to why they became certified, watch the " Why Certify" video on YouTube.
