WESTEC: Surfware to Demonstrate SURFCAM Velocity V3.0

Westlake Village, CA - March 20, 2007 - Surfware Inc., developer of SURFCAM CAD/CAM Systems, will demonstrate its latest release, Version 3.0 of the SURFCAM Velocity Series, at Westec 2007 in booth #3358.  Taking center stage will be the significantly enhanced 4- and 5-axis simultaneous milling capabilities.  At Westec '05 and '06, attendees witnessed how SURFCAM's patent-pending TrueMill® toolpath engine maximizes volume removal rates and extends cutter life.  Now, with the upgraded 4- and 5-axis logic, SURFCAM Velocity provides the most powerful and complete solution for manufacturers of aerospace structures, power generation blades and blisks, automotive cylinder head porting, and any other types of parts that require removing bulk material followed by precision multi-axis finishing.

Surfware will also demonstrate other enhancements that streamline part programming by incorporating them into production and mold-making manufacturing scenarios.  As with every release in the SURFCAM Velocity series, the new functionality maintains associative links to features of the native SolidWorks® file (or Parasolids® model), providing additional productivity gains.

Live machining demonstrations in the booth will follow each presentation.  Expert SURFCAM technical personnel will be available to answer questions on SURFCAM Velocity version 3.0.

The show will run March 26-29 at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, CA.  For more information visit www.sme.org/westec.
