Primecom Technologies, LLC Partners with Telairity for H.264/AVC Encoders

Sunnyvale company will deploy Telairity encoders as standard equipment in its ENG and SNG vehicles

SANTA CLARA, Calif., April 21, 2017 — (PRNewswire) —  Primecom Technologies, LLC, a major vendor of complete ENG and SNG truck solutions in Europe, the Middle East, parts of Asia, and elsewhere, has reached an agreement with Telairity to deploy Telairity's NexGen BE8600 contribution encoders and BE8650 paired encoder/modulator "buddy systems" as standard equipment in its custom-built client vehicles.

The BE8600 is a versatile, compact half-width 1RU single-channel unit with HD/SD 8-bit 4:2:0, and HD 8/10-bit 4:2:2 capabilities, all included as standard features. The full-width 1RU BE8650 pairs a BE8600 encoder with a matched half-width Orion DSNG and DVB-S/S2 satellite modulator, capable of either L-Band or IF-Band frequencies.

Both units can be viewed in the Primecom booth at the NAB Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, April 24 to 28. The Primecom booth is number N3233SUL, located in North Hall.

The announcement was made jointly today by Primecom Technologies President David Eygoren and Telairity Vice-President of Sales, Matt McKee. Both Primecom and Telairity operate headquarters in California's Silicon Valley, world-renowned for product innovation.

According to Eygoren, the addition of Telairity encoders to its product offerings will provide customers with immediate benefits. "As a company committed to seeking out the latest and best technology to offer our clients, we're delighted to provide the choice of Telairity NexGen contribution encoders and companion Orion modulators. The BE8600's ability to provide advanced capabilities like 10-bit 4:2:2 real-time encoding in a compact half-width 1RU chassis with low power consumption fits perfectly into the Primecom model of providing superior, cost-effective solutions backed by solid guarantees and exceptional service."

McKee added, "Telairity could not be happier that a company like Primecom Technologies, known for its technical sophistication and commitment to customer satisfaction, has decided to include our BE8600 and BE8650 in its standard product mix. Together with the recent selection of the BE8600 by Raycom Media, to equip its nationwide fleet of over 100 microwave and satellite ENG vehicles, it is another strong endorsement of Telairity NexGen encoders. For professional news gathering, the BE8600s unique combination of reliability, portability, operational simplicity, video quality, and economy have made it the broadcast industry's leading solution."
