Congresswoman Discusses U.S. Policy Priorities with IPC Member-company, TTM Technologies

BANNOCKBURN, Ill., USA, April 17, 2017 – Executives and staff at an IPC-member facility held a town hall discussion with Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren (D-CA-19) on the federal policy issues facing the advanced manufacturing industry. Rep. Lofgren took a tour of  TTM Technologies, Inc. ("TTM") in San Jose, getting a first-hand look at the high-tech work being done in TTM’s facility.

“The advanced manufacturing industry has contributed greatly to our economy here in California and across the globe,” said Congresswoman Lofgren. “I was very interested to tour the facilities and see the work taking place at TTM Technologies and I’m glad we also had an opportunity to discuss the policies that impact the industry today.”

Coordinated by  IPC, the world’s leading association for the electronics industry, this visit is part of the “Meet the Policymakers” program, an ongoing effort that connects policymakers with their constituents.

“We appreciate Congresswoman Lofgren taking the time to tour our facility and discuss the legislative issues impacting our business,” said Tom Edman, President and CEO of TTM Technologies. “She was receptive to our opinions, and we look forward to the opportunity for future discussions.”

TTM is the largest printed circuit board (PCB) supplier in North America and one of the largest suppliers in the world. The company prides itself on being a one-stop electronic manufacturing solution, covering all stages of the product’s life cycle.
