Learning-Based Mobile Game Incorporates Math Education Into Endless Runner Style-GameTORRANCE, Calif., Nov. 25, 2014 — (PRNewswire) — JumpStart®, the leader in learning-based games for kids, today announced the launch of its new mobile game Penguins of Madagascar: Dibble Dash. Hitting theaters on November 26th, Dibble Dash is the latest game created by JumpStart as part of a series of learning-based mobile games originating from DreamWorks' hit Madagascar franchise. Now available via the App Store® and Google Play™, and coming soon to Windows® and Amazon®, the all-new, wildly fun endless runner style-game enables players to practice their arithmetic skills with the help of their favorite characters.
The Penguins of Madagascar: Dibble Dash adventure challenges players to navigate Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and Private through intricate courses while avoiding Dr. Octavius Brine's octopus henchman and their mutant-creating goo. Players can rescue the Penguins and restore them to their lovable selves by solving math problems, which will allow them to practice their addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division skills. By playing the game daily, players are able to earn special rewards and all players have the ability to send in-game challenges to friends to heighten the competition.
"We are very excited to be able to work with DreamWorks Animation to incorporate characters from the new Penguins of Madagascar movie into an 'endless runner' game — a style which is extremely popular amongst gamers right now," said Chris Williams, Creative Director for JumpStart. "Penguins of Madagascar: Dibble Dash sets itself apart from other endless runner games and is so much fun to play, that you'll hardly even know you are learning math."
Penguins of Madagascar: Dibble Dash is the latest mobile game that JumpStart has launched in partnership with DreamWorks Animation to educate, enrich, and entertain fans of the studio's films, with other games including the highly successful School of Dragons, a critically-acclaimed multiplayer game based on DreamWorks' How to Train Your Dragon. Since School of Dragons' initial web browser launch in July 2013, the game has grown to a user base of over 16 million players, and School of Dragons for iPad® has been ranked a Top 20 free app and Top 10 free game in the App Store.
"JumpStart continues to lead the way in creating entertaining learning-based mobile games for kids, and we're excited to give Madagascar fans the opportunity to engage with their favorite characters on the go," said Jim Mainard, Head of Digital Strategy for DreamWorks Animation. "JumpStart's innovative approach and ability to incorporate curriculum-based learning into popular game styles gives parents a healthy alternative to the nutrition free casual game fare."
The new Penguins of Madagascar: Dibble Dash is available for free in the App Store® and Google Play™, and is coming soon to Windows® and Amazon®. The game does provide several in-app purchase opportunities, such as themed expansion packs, power-up upgrades, and consumables.

JumpStart® is the leader in learning-based games for kids. The reality is that kids today seek entertainment through gaming, yet the vast majority of kids' games do absolutely nothing to inspire their minds through learning. JumpStart changes that paradigm and brings a learning edge through epically fun gameplay. Because of the company's long history of excellence in providing learning-based products parents and families trust, world-renowned brands such as DreamWorks Animation partner with JumpStart to develop various educational mobile and web-based games. To date, the company has released several critically-acclaimed titles, including Madagascar Preschool Surf N' Slide™ and School of Dragons®, the ever-popular educational massively multiplayer online role-playing game. A subsidiary of Knowledge Holdings, Inc., the company is privately held and based in Torrance, CA. For more information, visit www.JumpStart.com.
