DigitalGlobe Bolsters Defense Team with Karen Diener and John Allan

LONGMONT, Colo., Oct. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- DigitalGlobe, a leading provider of high resolution satellite world imagery products and services, today announced the addition of Karen Diener and John Allan to the DigitalGlobe defense team, effective immediately.

Karen Diener joins DigitalGlobe as the vice president of business development for the Defense and Intelligence Business Unit. Karen has over 21 years intelligence, defense and commercial industry experience focused on imagery and geospatial intelligence, ground stations, and commercial product integration.

Prior to joining the company, Ms. Diener spent the last 12 years working for BAE Systems in various strategic, business development and program management positions, working specifically with geospatial mapping and imagery exploitation solutions. Her most recent focus was on transforming the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency (NGA) business operations and production to services architectures to meet the war fighter mission.

John Allan joins the DigitalGlobe London office as the new director of European sales for the Defense and Intelligence Business Unit. John will be leading the defense business unit's European sales and marketing efforts by supporting the DigitalGlobe defense channel and working directly with end customers. John brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in the geospatial area to the company. Prior to joining DigitalGlobe, John spent five years working for BAE Systems selling Socet Set and other software solutions to customers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Before BAE, John worked for ERDAS as a regional sales director.
