LOS ANGELES, Feb. 5, 2014 — (PRNewswire) —   Penton's SpeedNews today announced the preliminary program for its second annual Global Aerospace Manufacturing Conference, to be held in Mobile, AL on April 1-2, 2014.  The event unites the leaders of major manufacturers and suppliers in the aerospace industry to discuss manufacturing capabilities and processes, best practices, innovations, automation, industry trends and forecasts.

During the event, high-level executives from the aerospace manufacturing industry will gain a complete industry perspective through presentations and panel discussions.  The conference will enable delegates to learn about the best possible solutions for their manufacturing operations and meet the individuals responsible for designing and building these parts. The agenda will address tooling, machining, equipment, components, advanced materials, engineering, additive manufacturing, and technological systems.

As part of the conference, delegates will have the opportunity to tour aerospace facilities in the Mobile area on April 2. The tour includes a visit to UTC Aerospace Systems Aerostructures facility, where the company's Alabama Service Center and OE operations are co-located, as well as a visit  to ST Aerospace Mobile, a fully certified FAA and EASA Repair Station located at Brookley Aeroplex.  The tour concludes with a drive around the perimeter of Airbus' Final Assembly Line, currently under construction, narrated by a host from Airbus.
