This unique combination and the city’s international flair make it the perfect location for the 20th INTERGEO, which will be held in Berlin’s exhibition centre. The world’s largest trade fair for geodesy, geoinformation and land management will be making a big impression with six halls full of stands and exhibits (1.1 to 6.1).

INTERGEO will be attracting some very prominent visitors this year, with the choice of Berlin as the location intensifying the political significance of the event. Guests at INTERGEO will include Dr. Thomas de Maizière, German Federal Minister of the Interior and Member of the Bundestag, and Dr. Barbara Hendricks, German Federal Minister for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety and Member of the Bundestag. Two State Secretaries from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and the German Federal Ministry for Transport and Digital Infrastructure have also been invited.

Additional highlights will include the third national INSPIRE Conference, the “Geoinformation for cutting-edge infrastructures” section of the conference focusing on “Smart Cities”, and the Imagine-2 conference held by European umbrella organisation EUROGI.

As a location, Berlin makes INTERGEO the ultimate attraction for industry visitors.
As the industry’s premier communication platform, the event will welcome international companies keen to engage in discussions with visitors.

One thing’s for sure – INTERGEO 2014 is definitely going to have some surprises in store and we look forward to sharing them with you!

Once you’ve seen all INTERGEO has to offer, make sure you take the time to explore Berlin. From the main south entrance of the exhibition centre, it’s just a short walk to the S5 urban railway line that will take you directly to the city centre. Getting there
